“ Good experience, pretty good food. The outdoor dining area is very cute in a parklette type setting with umbrellas and plants. Service was fairly quick. They have an Italian menu and a Romanian menu. We wanted to try Romanian and quickly learned it's not exactly vegetarian friendly. They have a few non-meat items, all of which are on the appetizer menu. We ordered two apps. The dip with olives was okay. Not the most flavorful or exciting. I did quite like the creamy polenta dish though. Would order again. The fresh bread they brought us was great, probably one of the highlights of the experience. Fun to try a different kind of food. Glad we stopped by. ”

“ This place was the only restaurant I loved in the area. They offered a free glass of wine with any entree dinner. The restaurant tables are dressed with nice red tablecloth and a candle in the center. They have a little stage area. Now, my food experience was excellent. My waitress was a nice young lady. I had the bruschetta with baked gnocchi and my girlfriends had snapper with French fries. The bruschetta had a very nice vinaigrette dressing. Anyhoo, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area. ”

“ A quiet quaint restaurant right in the heart of downtown Hollywood with attentive friendly service. The flavor of this lasagna explodes into wonderful flavors of beef, pasta, garlic, and scrumptious sauce as it cools. The arugula house salad is a perfect accompaniment. And of course the warm Italian bread whets your appetite for the next course. Come here and party across the street at many fun bars with live music and great talent. ”

“ We arrived almost 3pm for lunch, by this time, I was surprised I was still alive and walking. Lol!! This is an Italian restaurant and also a Romanian restaurant. The decor is a bit cabaret for my taste. Staffs were very hospitable though. We ordered a few items to share. Gustare Taraneasca Vinete si Ardei Copti - I believe this is an appetizer and mainly made of egg plants. There was a roasted pepper which i personally found it a bit spicy. I really enjoyed this mashed egg plants dish - A Mititei - traditional Romanian dish ie minced meat roll made of beef, served with fries. These were a bit heavy for me. They were good but I couldn't have more than one piece. A- Sarmalute in Foi de Varza - seasoned minced meat wrapped in cabbage, simmered in vegetable stock with herbs, served with polenta & sour cream. My favorite of all the three dishes. A+ It doesn't hurt that I really love cabbage :) Papanas - looked like donuts drizzled in some fruit compote. They didn't taste like donuts though, it was good. Not too crazy about it. Sadly the restaurant did not have crème brûlée even though it was on their website. Overall, good food with great service! ”

“ I'm really impressed with La Vendetta. The seating atmosphere, particularly the set back open air porch area which offers a pleasant just off the sidewalk view, is perfect for people watching. The service is top notch professional food, is surprisingly superior for the price; a real bang for the buck. I had the Calamari Fritti, a Caesar salad and Scaloppini Piccatta while my guest had the chicken as in Pollo alla Milanese. The calamari came perfectly breaded and deliciously tender; some of the best ever along with a decent though somewhat overly mild sauce. The Caesar, which I ordered with anchovy, which anchovies they didn't scrimp on as they do in most restaurants, was large, double cheesed, both in a powdering along with at the table waiter grating. The cuts scaloppini along with the piccatta preparation was about as good as it comes. My guest was also delighted with a large portion of very tasty chicken in Milanese. La Vendetta is indeed one of the better restaurants to be found in Hollywood and at reasonable price too. I real pleasure; one I'm sure to come back to. ”
